As you may know, HUD requires that all lenders using the DirectConnect system are required to have our Counseling Authorization Form signed by the borrower either prior to the application or at the close of the loan. Once the borrower signs the form you need to store it in the borrower's file along with the application.
Depending on what type of reverse mortgage loans you sell, and for what company or companies, below are the various Counseling Authorization Forms to be used. If you have any question, please contact Chuck Blommaert at 661-877-5112.
Types of Authorization Forms
For Lender Correspondents (Generic Form): This form is for lenders that sell HECM Plans, Cash Account Advantage Plans, Independence Plans, Generation Plus Plans, Cash Keeper Plans, SimpleEquity Plans and LIFE Plans for various processing companies.
